Skövde Food Festival 2025: A Culinary and Cultural Extravaganza
The last weekend in August will mark the 35th edition of the Skövde Food Festival, transforming the city into a vibrant celebration of food, music, and entertainment for all ages.
A Feast for the Senses
The festival’s marketplace at Hertig Johans Torg will showcase local producers, featuring five new exhibitors this year. Visitors can expect a diverse range of products including vegetables, bread, cheese, crispbread, and homemade ice cream.
Culinary Highlights
The ”Skafferiet” stage will host a dynamic program led by Henrik Nuñez Fredriksberg, featuring local chefs and future culinary professionals from the Food Program at Kavelbro, who will demonstrate their skills on stage.
Entertainment for Everyone
The festival offers diverse activities including:
- Face painting by the aesthetic program
- Scout tipitent by Skövde-Skultorp NSF
- Balthazar Science Center’s Blace Pods speed and focus challenge
- Digital games from Code Camp
- Infento vehicle building
- Street performances by Knaster & Knas
”Our ambition with the Food Festival is to have plenty for visitors of all ages. We are also glad to have many partners making it possible to offer such a wide range of activities,” says Katarina Blad, program manager for the Food Festival at Next Skövde.
Music and Special Events
The festival will feature live performances, including a performance by Scarlet on the main stage on Saturday, followed by a meet and greet. Visitors can even get makeup done to look like the artist.

Festival Legacy
Running annually since 1989, the Skövde Food Festival is the city’s largest recurring event. Organised by Next Skövde in collaboration with local restauranteurs and partners, it continues to be a highlight of the regional cultural calendar.
