Halmstad: Handball’s Home of Champions 2026

The Men's Final Four returns to Halmstad

Men’s Final4 Returns to Halmstad

The men’s handball cup final will once again be held in Halmstad, marking a consistent tradition for the city. On March 28-29, 2026, the four remaining teams will compete for the championship and a spot in the European League.

A Handball Tradition Continues

For two consecutive years, Ystads IF has lifted the ATG Swedish Cup trophy in Halmstad Arena. Whether they will secure a third consecutive cup victory remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the men’s Final4 will again be decided in Halmstad.

”Halmstad has a strong handball tradition, especially on the men’s side, where HK Drott Halmstad has won many championships and nurtured many national team players and leaders,” says Robert Wedberg, Secretary-General of the Swedish Handball Federation.
