Record-Breaking Tourism in Jönköping: July Sees Massive Visitor Surge
While it’s too early to sum up the entire summer, the guest night statistics released for June and July point towards new records for Jönköping. With nearly 100,000 guest nights in June and 172,000 in July, the destination has solidified its position as a strong summer destination.
Key Highlights of Summer Tourism
In June, the beginning of the month stood out particularly, with Elmia Wood attracting tens of thousands of visitors. The new gaming and LAN festival Glitched also showed a clear peak in visitor numbers. July’s major events, such as Ironman and O-ringen, contributed to drawing record numbers of visitors and enhancing the summer offerings in Jönköping, Huskvarna, Gränna, and Visingsö.
For Visingsö specifically, July was the best month in four years, showing a significant increase compared to the previous year. The island welcomed over 65,000 visitors, approximately 12,000 more than in 2024.
