On Friday, September 26th, Kyrkparken will transform into an enchanting outdoor cinema experience. As part of Rainbow Week, visitors are invited to an evening of family-friendly entertainment and musical experiences on the big screen.
Movie Program
- 17:30 – Trolls 3
- 20:00 – Bohemian Rhapsody
Event Details
The evening will begin with the colorful film ”Trolls 3”, offering joy, music, and laughter for the entire family. As darkness falls, the Oscar-winning hit ”Bohemian Rhapsody” will take over, paying tribute to Queen and Freddie Mercury.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, and recommended to pack warm clothing as autumn’s chill sets in.
”It’s something special about watching a film with others, and being able to offer that opportunity in our cozy Kyrkpark feels fantastic. I hope many will take the chance to come downtown, pack a blanket and a coffee thermos. Or even better, grab a takeaway from one of our downtown businesses to enjoy during the film. I hope this becomes an appreciated event,” says Emma Edqvist, destination developer at Skövde Citysamverkan/Next Skövde.
Collaborative Effort
The activity is a collaboration between Skövde Citysamverkan and Skövde Cultural Center.
”Showcasing our city center and attracting visitors through film screenings is an amazing way to discover culture and reach out in public spaces beyond movie theaters. It’s culture in an accessible, inclusive, and vibrant way. Moreover, it’s beautiful to find shared events – together showing the mix and breadth of experiences our city offers,” says Wera Ahl Sandholm, Cultural House Coordinator at Skövde Municipality.
