Record Satisfaction for O-Ringen Jönköping 2025
The world’s largest orienteering adventure – O-Ringen, which took place from July 20-26, 2025 in Jönköping, was a massive success according to participant feedback. The post-event visitor survey revealed the highest Customer Satisfaction Index (NKI) since measurements began in 2018.
Event Overview
O-Ringen is a week-long orienteering competition held during week 30 in a different location each year. It’s a true family festival open to both elite runners and recreational orienteers. Participants range from 5 to 95 years old and come from around 40 different countries.
Participant Satisfaction
The visitor survey showed exceptional results:
- Overall event impression: 4.6 out of 5 (highest since 2018)
- Customer Satisfaction Index (NKI): +87 on a 100-point scale

Lena Stävmo, CEO of Destination Jönköping, highlighted the local orienteering clubs and O-Ringen’s organization, which received an impressive 4.7 rating for event management.

The event attracted approximately 19,000 visitors to Jönköping:

- 2,100 accompanying visitors
- Average stay: 7.2 days
- Tourist economic turnover: Around 132 million SEK
90% of participants explored the municipality’s offerings, with popular activities including:
- Dining at restaurants
- Beach visits
- Café stops
- City shopping
- Visiting Huskvarna and Gränna
- Nature hiking
- Museum visits
