On November 29th, the beloved event returns to Skansen. This year, Skellefteå takes the entire hosting responsibility. ”It’s crucial that we continue building our brand and attractiveness – while also addressing our long-term competence needs,” says David Ekström, communicator from Skellefteå Municipality’s market division.
An Inviting Event for Potential Returnees and Curious Talents
The event traditionally attracts between 800 and 1,500 visitors, with many additional spontaneous Skansen visitors dropping in. The municipality is inviting several key groups:

”We’re offering a cozy day with warm encounters and inspiration from the north,” Ekström explains. Visitors can expect to:

Skellefteå Municipality is committed to hosting the event despite recent challenges. ”Despite some setbacks, there’s so much happening here,” says Ekström. ”It’s important that we continue putting Skellefteå on the map.”

The event serves a strategic purpose: maintaining contact with potential newcomers. ”Relocation can be a time-consuming process, so maintaining ongoing communication with those considering moving to northern Sweden is crucial,” Ekström emphasizes.
