Caught on the Net: A Hilarious Summer Comedy!

Robert Gustafsson is back at the Krusenstiernska Theatre

Robert Gustafsson Returns to Krusenstiernska Theater

Next summer, Robert Gustafsson will be back on the Krusenstiernska Theater stage. He will be joined by Ola Forssmed, Hanna Hedlund, Eric Ericson, and Martina Sundén.

”It is an honor to return to Sweden’s best and most beautiful summer theater. We will offer a real laughing riot,” says director Edward af Sillén.

The Play: ”Caught on the Net”

The play takes us back to 2003, when online dating was still relatively new. An innocent match between two young people risks having devastating consequences – as they unknowingly share the same father!

If the siblings meet, it could expose taxi driver Per-Arne’s (Ola Forssmed) long-standing double life, revealing his two wives Lotta and Kristina (Hanna Hedlund and Martina Sundén). To prevent this catastrophe, he seeks help from Göran (Eric Ericson), a lodger in one of the families, and Herman (Robert Gustafsson), Göran’s somewhat confused father. Naturally, everything goes wrong, and the carousel begins!

”I was in the play when it was performed at Oscarsteatern in 2004, and this time I will play the role that Björn Gustafsson played then. I was fascinated by his timing and studied him carefully, so I will bring that with me now,” says Robert Gustafsson.

Performance Details

”Caught on the Net” premieres on June 25, 2026, and will be performed Thursday through Sunday throughout July. Tickets go on sale on December 5th and can be purchased at Kalmar Tourist Center.
