Lund Music Video Festival, Volvo Cars, and Handelföreningen Lund – News in Heja Lund!
At Heja Lund!’s final meeting of the year, two new members were welcomed, and five events were granted support for their implementation in 2026. The most notable news among these events takes us back to Lund’s 90s era and the creation of ”the best Swedish music videos.”
New Members and Supported Events
Heja Lund! enthusiastically welcomed two fresh members – Volvo Cars and Handelsföreningen Lund – who will strengthen the Heja Lund fund and enable event offerings to grow.
Supported Events for 2026
- Brunnshög Food & Drink Festival (September)
Focusing on local drinks and regional food, the event aims to create a positive and vibrant image of the Brunnshög district.
- Interkultur Town Square Festival (August 14-16)
A two-part event featuring a festival with food, performances, and experiences from around the world, along with a conference bringing together leading local business actors.
- Lundapride Festival (August 19)
Designed to create an inclusive and colorful festival that highlights LGBTQ+ issues and strengthens community bonds in Lund. The festival will include shows, DJ performances, film screenings, seminars, and a pride parade.
- Lund Music Video Festival (April 24-26)
Celebrating music videos as the most innovative art form of the 1990s, the festival will showcase Lund’s significance in ”the Swedish music miracle” through video screenings, seminars, panel discussions, and workshops for young creators.
- Skissernas Night 2026 (May 15)
A unique full-day experience with free entry at Skissernas Museum, which attracted 7,500 visitors in 2025.

Heja Lund! is an initiative that collaborates between industry, university, and municipality to elevate Lund. The goal is to create a vibrant city buzzing with attractive events, providing financial support to arrangements that contribute to Lund’s attractiveness.
