Jönköping Sets New Overnight Stay Record – Strongest Year Yet
Jönköping continues to solidify its position as an attractive destination. For the fourth consecutive year, the city has broken its previous overnight stay record from 2019. The year 2025 has been the municipality’s strongest year to date.

Impressive Growth in Overnight Stays
The number of overnight stays in Jönköping municipality has been steadily increasing since the pandemic in 2020. According to preliminary figures, a total of 889,000 overnight stays were recorded in 2025, representing an increase of approximately 12,000 overnight stays (1.3 percent) compared to 2024. In relation to the record year 2019, this indicates an increase of 65,000 overnight stays, equivalent to 8 percent.
