Winter at Its Finest
Winter is showing its best side at Billingen. Full activity is happening at Billingebacken, sledding hills, ski tracks, and the ice rink – and the cold weather seems set to continue according to weather forecasts. A perfect scenario for all snow and cold lovers.
Skiing Festival at Billingen
This weekend saw the Billingen Long Race – a three-day skiing festival with around 1,000 participants. The year’s newest event, the ”Billingen Fifteen” women’s race, was a massive success right from its premiere.
For the first time since 2012, a long-distance race was held in Västergötland on a 20-kilometer track of artificial and natural snow. This was made possible through dedicated work by the organizers and Billingen staff. The races were qualifying events for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan and are considered one of the three largest classic long-distance races in Sweden, according to the event chief at Svenska Långlopp.
Sport Break Activities on the Mountain
During the sport break, several family-friendly activities are planned:
- Skidor hela livet – family race without time tracking
- Children’s Vasalopp – with race number, blueberry soup, and medal
- Skating disco – with music and disco lighting

Waffle Service and Trail Quiz
Every Sunday until April 12th, IF Hagen offers a trail quiz and refreshments with waffles by the fireplace in Hagenstugan.
